The African Association of Nephrology (AFRAN) Transplantation Committee, in collaboration with the AFRAN Education and Training Committee, is proud to announce the launch of the first AFRAN Online Kidney Transplantation Course, designed specifically for African nephrologists and nephrology trainees.

This pioneering program aims to broaden access to Transplantation education in Africa, providing participants with the scientific and clinical foundations necessary to strengthen Kidney Transplantation practice across the continent.

 Who Can Apply?

  • African nephrologists (not necessarily specialized in Transplantation).
  • Nephrology residents and trainees interested in Kidney Transplantation.

 Key Dates

  • Start date: First week of October 2025.
  • Course duration: 23 weeks:
  • 18 weeks of live teaching (2 lectures per week).
  • 5 interactive weeks with live case-based exercises and Q&A.

Course Fees (submission will close on 21st September 2025)

  • Free of charge for AFRAN members:
  • Special group option: Groups of 5 applicants may join AFRAN together at an exclusive membership fee of 25 USD per person.
  • 100 USD for non-members.

Applicants are kindly asked to provide:

  • A short CV (maximum 2 pages).
  • Proof of AFRAN membership (if applicable).

Special Award

The top three awardees will be granted free registration to the next AFRAN Congress, to be held in 2027 in Tanzania.
